Usefulness of a weather briefing?

I'm wondering if I'm the only one who feels like weather briefings aren't as helpful as they used to be. With the Foreflight briefing, skyvector, and the ADDS website, I usually feel like my call to the briefer is just a rehash of what I already know and I really am not getting any insightful input on my flight. When I ask a question, they usually give me an answer that I already knew.

I'm sure briefers, just like pilots, doctors, lawyers etc. have variable skills and I have, on occasion, received a very good and thorough briefing. It just seems like the quality has either gone down, or my preflight graphic weather tools and my understanding of weather has improved.
