This is a question based more on curiosity than a genuine interest in doing it, especially when I only have 750 hours on my engine right now.

I have seen some of the mid to late 60's 140's upgraded to the O360. There is one on Ebay right now with an O360 and constant speed prop on it. I think it is a '68, if my memory serves.

I did some quick research and cannot determine if a 1974 model can be upgraded or not. Obviously, there is room in the cowling. Plenty of room in there.

I've got a friend with a 1978 Skyhawk that recently rebuilt and went to 180HP.

So, I'm just curious, is this something I could do to my 1974 PA-28-140 at the next overhaul? How big of a deal of this to do?
