Two part question: Why did you choose a Piper? What brought you into aviation?

I chose Piper strictly on the look of the airplane. Call me shallow, but when I see a Piper on the ramp it just looks better to me.
Back in the 1980’s I had a job that was not my calling, one day a good friend suggested we become flight attendants to meet girls and see the world. I started talking to the pilots and decided they were magicians. A few told me I could learn the magic and suggested I take flight lessons. The command from above came when I had Cliff Robertson in first class. He struck up a conversation and since I knew he was a pilot I told him of my plan to take lessons. He asked me to come back after the service to give me some advice. When I returned he told me. “ If you even think you want to learn to fly, do it! It will be the greatest thing you’ll ever do, and it will change your life.” Thus started this love affair. Mr Robertson was right on all counts.
