I noticed this while cleaning the oil/soot/exhaust residue film on the belly today... could well have been there since I bought the plane two years ago. What is the best way to treat this... or should I do anything at all? I assume it is filiform corrosion but I guess it could be just a paint bubble.

Based on pictures from my last annual, it was there in October since my A&P removed an antenna that was a few inches away. No idea why he didn't mention it. The strong/low lighting in this picture tends to exaggerate the relief.

The plane was in central Texas and now it is in Nevada... very low humidity here.

As you can see, it is not much bigger than a rivet head.
