The gentle slope in front of my T hangar makes it a bear to push my Archer into the hangar and steer at the same time. Couple of other folks on the field use winches mounted to back of hangar, hook cable to tail skid tiedown, and pull a/c into hangar that way. One of them uses a 200lb. strength piece of rope between winch cable and tail skid to limit the force that can be applied to the a/c.
Anyone have experience with anything like this? Any idea how much towing force the skid can handle?
There's no large lip to the hangar and it's a very gentle slope.
Thanks.
