I'm interested in knowing how pilot/owners deal with refueling.

When I rented, the aircraft was always rented wet. I didn't care how much fuel I burned because I had already paid for itmand didn't need to refuel when I landed.

When I was in a partnership with a Cirrus, the airplane had to be fueled upon return to the hanger (pay for what you consumed). The only time not to top off was if the next flight listed from another owner had a specific request to only fill to the tabs (trading fuel for passengers).

Now as the only owner with a hangered airplane, what's "Best Practice"?

  • I Always refuel because it cuts down on delays for the next flight
  • I Always refuel because water is less likeky to accumulate in the tanks
  • Depends on my next flight
  • I Always wait til my next flight before refueling
  • I never do it the same way, every time.
  • Who cares. It dosen't matter.
