This is a thanks to Magman on a particular problem. Magman had posted that a low static RPM could be caused by distorted baffles in the muffler that I had read in a post a while back. My mechanic didn't check the baffling in the exhaust last year because it had only been flown about 30 hours since overhaul (at another shop). I mentioned to my mechanic I wanted him to make sure the exhaust was checked this year because my static RPM was a little on the low side and due to the speed mods I have added. I wanted to pitch the prop a bit, but was nervous about doing that because of the static RPM being low. The boroscope revealed I had about a 30% blockage in the muffler for #1&2 cylinders and the other was somewhat distorted, but didn't seemed to be creating a blockage yet. Well, I am getting new mufflers. The shop that installed the engine after overhaul missed several things and there have been numerous items found that should have been caught then or was the result of not paying attention to detail. I am curious how the engine will perform when we get everything back together again. :D

Also, due to the assistance of Jim C and others, I had a little bit better understanding of what a pitch change would do to hurt and help me. I hate having to make a decision and be completely clueless about the subject at hand. I am not a politician
