Ok before anyone chops my head off, I wanted an A36 before I bought my fixed-gear Saratoga, but given my "low" time and lack of an instrument rating, the insurance cost was prohibitive. Now, almost 2 years after I bought the Toga, I have a dialed-in plane, with all the upgrades, avionics and gadgets, it had a new OH when I bought it (and I put almost 300 hours on her and got my instrument rating since) and has new paint and interior.

An opportunity has now presented itself where I could get more than I spent, but obviously not more than I have in her, and am considering a late model A36 or G36 with low-mid time motor. Aside from the Continental woes, any thoughts? I mean the useful load is not much different, the insurance increase won't be that much, and I know annuals will cost a bit more, but am I crazy?
