I'm replacing my incandescent wingtip Nav/Strobe with LED. Currently, the strobes are on the "anti-collision" switch, along with the tail beacon. I'd like to separate the two so I have a dedicated switch for the tip strobes and one for the beacon. The reason for that is to be able to leave the beacon on all the time as a warning for engine start as well as a way to ensure I don't leave the master on post flight.

Does this make sense? It's a good chunk of change for the extra switch, but I'd hate to run the strobes all the time from a good neighbor to other pilots standpoint.
