In the course of my research for the next plane, Ive come across the one-model-year Turbo Dakota. Ive been scouring the interwebz for info on these, but just know people here have to have some experience. Ive also searched the forum for previous threads.
Like the t-tail planes, these (all 91 of them) seem to have some odd-duck price adjustment built into them. I see that its got the seldom-loved TSIO-360 aboard, a bit less useful load than the O-540 versions, and would expect that maintenance costs are lower than an Turbo Arrow, but higher than a NA Dakota.
What else is there to know about this unicorn? Being able to access the mid-high teens with 3 aboard seems attractive, and while the published speeds (150 KTAS) seem optimistic, Id not think theyre given to be any slower than their NA brethren.
Thanks!
