Hi Al - Needing to upgrade to ADS-B, I am thinking of the Appareo with Stratus on my I-Pad for weather. I've had this Archer - first and only plane - for 18 months, and you can see from the pix that there is a Stormscope where OBS -1 should be. OBS-1 is below the Stormscope, and OBS-2 is WAY below, near the tach - very difficult to use.
I'd like some opinions on taking out the Stormscope, move the OBS's to where they belong, and using the i-pad with Stratus for weather. I don't have a Stratus now, but that looks like a pretty good ADS-B solution.

I did think about moving the Stormscope to where the INOP ADF is, but the nexair guy thinks maybe the space isn't big enough in back for the SC box.

Also - I have a 430 WAAS , so not alot of use for #2 OBS, but I think it is essential to have.

Opinions from the experts?

Thanks, EricB
