Altitude hold went South so had it in for IFR and statics and had Cinncy Avionics look at Autopilot...
Pitch servo is noisy and failed during exercise (shut down). Servo serial number is 420, old and not repairable (no parts)
$ 5 AMU's minimum to fix with a new servo and can not guarantee this is the problem.
