Past Sat. the vacuum pump went out. Annual inspection is coming up anyway, so I decided to start it early, and do it a section at a time. Today we did firewall forward. All is well, except oil leakage from the vacuum pump. new seal needed. Got the old seal out, and found the mech was out of stock, so hadda order one. It will be here tomorrow, I gotta work. So that didn't go as planned. I pulled the prop, dressed a couple small nicks, and paint is drying. Next week, we'll do the wings and undercarriage. And the following week will be the fuselage group. Annual will be completed, and I get to fly it between start and finish of annual, barring any monkey wrenches thrown into the works.
