When/if you get rid of your vacuum, consider the B&C backup alternator. Relatively easy install, and not that pricey, especially given the added peace of mind. It is rated to supply 20A, but will do as much as 30A, and warns of an over-amperage. If you are all LED, that will handle everything you have, except maybe night time operation with pitot on, and you don't have a landing gear to drop. We actually had a hard time pushing it to over-draw, to check the indicator!

They have an STC for the PA32, my shop used that to do the paperwork for the install on my O540.

How did you get it installed on a PA28? I gather it sits in the same space as the vacuum pump? They say it needs three circuit breakers and a Piper rocker-type switch. I wonder if it can use a Klixon-toggle/breaker switch?
