Stabilator neutral trim...PA28 140 1975 vintage

Im pretty sure the "pointer" on my trim wheel is off. the needle is way close to the front near the "n" mark for a smooth take off and it doesnt ever seem to get near the center of the indicator...So whats the proper procedure to set the
pointer location on the trim indicator to "neutral"?
