Hi Cherokee fans I have a question , I have a 62 pa-28-160 what is happening is that I have had some problems with the "L " brackets on the aft bulkhead mount cracking at the opening for the prop . When I bought the plane the owner also left a old spinner in the plane . While taking the spinner off this time I I looked inside to see in marker 487-260 written inside this does not match the 14422- that is listed in the book . I also compared the both spinners to see the one being used has a much larger fold on the inside of the prop opening like 1.5 " fold vs the 1/8 on the older one . I tried googling the 487-260 and all I get back is it is a spinner made by piper .
The old spinner looks like it got slightly dented and straighten back out . I wonder if the extra fold material is too much weight in motion for the "L" bracket Or was this spinner made for a different piper ?
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
