Speeding up a Six

Everyone knows the six ain't a speedster. But if you look at cruise of the 6x and FG 'Togas, they're 10-15 knots quicker. Is it the semi-tapered wings? Different cowl? Different Wheel pants? More curiosity than anything. Any pireps for the main gear fairing that's offered? Already have wing root fairings. Main gear fairing is probably the only one I'd be interested in. Have been wanting to check the rigging on it as I suspect its out. If one aileron is flush with the flap, the other is 1/2" above or below the other flap. The other thing I'd like to change would be getting rid of the big coffee grinder rotating beacon. Just not sure which route to go.
