I've run into a problem on a Seneca II that has both the upper and lower aft stabilator pitch control cables bottomed out in the short turnbuckle body. Does anyone know the length of any of the four (2 forward, 2 aft) control cables? I have considered whether someone has installed the wrong cable, or if a incorrect diameter pulley has been installed. The parts catalog shows the cable as "Control Cable Aft - Lower, and Control Cable Aft - Upper". To make things more interesting the lower cable is the nose "UP" control cable as it pulls the balance arm down thus causing the stabilator to move leading edge down and ultimately causing the airplane to nose up. The bottomed out turnbuckles prevent any further adjustment of the control column (& bobweight) and stabilator neutral or travel limits per the maintenance manual - and all this started because the cable tension was low...
