My A&P and I are trying to figure out if all the tanks need to be emptied prior to removing a tank... We need to pull the right outboard tank due to a leak, and figured while we were there we would pull the inboard tank and complete the SB on the right wing. The left wing tanks are full and we were thinking instead of trying to find a place to store 94 gallons of 100LL we would drain and inspect the right side, reassemble and go fly the fuel out of the left tanks. Can this be completed without creating undue stress on the wing with one wing being full and the other empty with the tanks removed?
