My attitude indicator is getting sticky and I am looking at potential upgrades when it fails. I wanted a sanity check on the prices I got from a local shop. They seem...excessive to me.

Single G5 install to replace attitude indicator - $8k
Dual G5 install to remove vac system replacing Attitude indicator and existing HSI - $18k

Thoughts?

Plane is a 2004 Piper Arrow with dual 650xi installed.
