There are at least 40 Aztecs at my airport, plus a dozen or more normally aspirated Navajos, 10 or more Twin Comanches, 20 or more Seminoles, 6 Beech Duchesses, and to my knowledge none has an EI system. These are planes flying every day and if you can't make a business case for EI here, you can't make it anywhere. The majority of the 750+  based airplanes are piston twins.
