The problem is that the ambient temp is not 100F. Although the inside of the engine will be OK, in fact it will be very dry if you have cylinder + sump heating, you still WILL get condensation somewhere peripheral to the block, where ever it reaches the condensation point as the temp drops to ambient. I completely rusted out one of the components in my alternator when I was doing this.


I also fly regularly, including during the winter.


A switch, wifi or cellular, is cheap and works, and removes all doubt. An engine dryer will absolve most sins.
