I read somewhere else about bugs/insects getting inside & causing problems in the fuel vent tubes on the bottom of the wing. Seem to imply if plugged it could lead to a fuel problem, without venting.

My 1st question, would anyone know of instances where this has happened?

The 2nd question, is it worth covering the vent tubes at times? I see they do sell covers made for such, with streamers & all. I was thinking maybe just doing it in higher likelihood parking areas, like Springtime & parked at a grass strip for several days. The hangar seems fairly sterile for the most part.

Not trying to be to anal about it, just something that came up.
