Hello, I need some suggestions as to what my problem might be. My com1 is a KX155, my com2 is a KY97. I am able to receive AWOS on my com1 but I can not receive or transmit to other aircraft while on the ground or I suspect in the air. I know this by testing using com2 with other local aircraft. Other aircraft can receive my radio calls on com2 but not on com1.
I suspect something is wrong with my antenna but I am having a problem understanding why I am able to receive AWOS and not other airplanes.
Let me know what you think. I will be putting my plane in the shop next week.
