Hello everyone,

Annual time is coming up for our 1967 Cherokee 140 and we're going to do SB1006. I will be replacing the fuel tank screws and had a question. On aircraft spruce they offer a stainless steel kit for $61.75 per tank and a cadmium kit for $22.50 per tank. I don't want to sound cheap, especially when it comes to structural screws, but what would the disadvantage be with going with cadmium screws? Are they not as strong? Or just not as resistant to the elements. I wouldn't mind paying a third of the price so long as the screws were still just as safe as SS. Also, something to note, cadmium is only offered for Cherokee models. Any insight on this?

Thanks!

Kendall
