In december i brought my 1970 Piper Cherokee 140/160 in for her annual. The biggest issue I had was having to replace the exhaust system. 33 hours later it is brought to the same mechanic for a pre buy and 18 new items are found....... one of the biggest issues was during the exhaust pressure check. 3 of the 4 cylinders were found with cracks in the heads near the exhaust risers due to excessive exhaust blow by.
Can someone explain how these cracks happen and how blobby effects it???
Also cylinder #3 oil drain back tube has a small gouge in the ares if the bend.... how can this happen ???
Lastly I replaced my tires 14 months ago and I was told the tires are showing signs of dry rotunda the rubber is separating... how can this happen in 14 months????
Thanks in advance for your comments...
