Recently replaced the Pito Blade on my PA-28-140(1973), had the avionics shop static check the system to make sure everything was secure. I noticed right away that the airspeed indicator needle was vibrating during flight & after several later flights it actually began to bounce up & down. Went back to the avionics shop & they disconnected & gently blew out the connecting vacuum lines which resulted in finding some very small particles of orangish looking debris. The Pito Blades are a rebuild, & they use that high temp orange silicone to secure the heat tubes in the blade.
Not sure what my next step should be. Is there a possibility the Pito Blade could be defective? Not sure how these things are constructed internally.
