Sitting and watching the TV news showing the reckage of a 1964 pa 28-140 that struck a car while mitigating an engine out emergency, which is looking like a fuel mismanagement situation. The May Day, per the news, stated the pilot had stated he was having a fuel problem. Lets hope it was mechanical and not pilot error. Pilot was OK and walking around plane. Unknown person was airlifted to local trauma center, not sure if they were in plane or vehicle it struck. Prayers to the injure victim. Please, Please, Please plan accordinly in fuel consumption and don't trust those fuel guages. I learned to fly on a plane that had no guage, so i quickly learned to fly by time with a generous safty margin.

Fly safe out there
