My mechanic mentioned over the summer that my new-to-me 1970 Arrow oil quick drain is unlike any he has ever seen. I went to change the oil this weekend and the quick drain hose adapter I bought from Aircraft Spruce would not work. The adapter I bought (which is for the stock Arrow oil drain plug) has female threads, but I need an adapter with male threads. My drain plug does appear to be very low profile (I understand the necessity for a low profile drain plug with the gear coming so close), but the drain has female threads. I had to hold the hose onto the pan spring-loaded spigot (very tiring) to get it to drain. Afterwards I texted my mechanic to see what his solution was, and he said he was not able to find an adapter and he was forced to drain it the same way I did. I’ll take a picture later and post, but does anyone know what drain adapter I need?

Oh and btw, I did try turning the spigot once opened, to see if it locks open, but it doesn’t.
