One advantage to paint all trim with an off-the-shelf color is that you don't wind up with a custom color just to match faded trim. ISTM that if the trim is a slightly different color than the carpet or vinyl sidewalls it's not that obvious (to my eye anyway).  Also, see the two Amazon links in post #5 for the cleaner and paint I used.
