Good Morning,

My name is Ben and I got my PPL in the UK back in March. As a consequence of having 3 kids as well as my Wife, I have found and agreed a deal on a 1974 PA32-260 Cherokee Six which should be ready mid-End of August. Flown it, loved it, a lot like flying a PA-28 so felt familiar. This is my first post in the forum.

Some quick questions:

The PoH says at 55% I should get just under 11Gph, at 75% should be around 14Gph - yet some I read say it could be a lot more at this. My issue is that in the UK, we have a lot of low cloud so getting above 3k regulalrly can be an issue. Anyone got nay ideas on what real world I should see?

Is there a standard fuel dipper/dipstick to manually check the tanks? I can't seem to find one on sale anywhere that can be used with PA32.

It has had all AD's etc done - any particular areas other folks have found to be consistent areas for attention?

Apologies in advance if this post has a broad nature - I am just trying to tap into the many years of experience out there!

Thanks

Ben
