I'm the lead author of the POH Performance apps. I'm announcing the availability of "PA28 Performance". PA28 Performance computes all the useful performance numbers for flight planning for Piper model PA28 Archer II, Archer III, and Warrior III aircraft. It includes calculations for takeoff, landing, climb, cruise, descent, instrument procedures as well as emergencies. It also includes an interactive hold calculator, a risk analysis tool, and an emergency glide distance calculator that handles head and tailwinds.

PA28 Performance works on both Apple and Android mobile devices as well as on any computer via a browser. Please see pohperformance.com/pa28.html.

You can give the browser version a whirl by clicking here.

The app is free and without advertising. The source code is published if you'd like to look it over or help add other models. This is a community effort. Many thanks to Rohil Shah for doing the initial port and adding the POH data for the supported models.

For those of you unfamiliar with these apps, we also support the Baron, Bonanza, C172, C182, and TBM. See pohperformance.com.

Please send feedback to [email protected].
