I ordered new door seals for both my main & cargo doors so I'm taking the opportunity to see if I can adjust the door by getting new door hinge eyebolt & clevis pins and following aircraftdoorseals adjustment steps.

Today I removed the old door seal and took a closer look at the door and noticed that the rear top part of the door seems to rub against the door frame when closing and that the rear of the door does not fit "flush" against the frame (pictures attached). This is without engaging the top latch (which is also not very smooth to operate).

So my questions is...

Is this much misalignment typical and will new hardware & adjusting take care of the rubbing/misalignment? I ask because I'm not sure how new hinge hardware & spacers can take care of the rubbing and bulging towards the rear especially once new door seals are installed.

Thanks!
