I've heard there is possibly an STC to upgrade the pistons in the O-540 in the Cherokee 235 to the higher compression piston to bump it to the O-540 250HP equivalent. Plane is 1967 Cherokee 235, currently apart for an Overhaul and figured I would see if this is a possibility during the rebuild.
It will never run anything less than 100LL so I can't see any advantage to keeping the very low compression that the 235 has.
