I have a ’73 PA-28R-200 with the original style 'flat' breakers.

The 25A landing gear motor circuit breaker popped last night when I selected gear down. I could reset the breaker and the gear cycled down normally. I had it in the shop today to trouble shoot and the result is: Nav lights on – breaker pops. Nav light off, gear motor runs without a problem.

Any ideas on the possible cause and recommended remedies will be appreciated.

Thank you so much.
