Well, I just got lucky and bit the bullet by buying a condo hangar at PIE St. Pete/Clearwater airport.

I was based there many years ago as a renter, but the prices went out of site. So I moved to ZPH Zephyrhills airport about 9 years ago.

The hangar I bought became available about a month ago and I put an offer to the owner. It’s a rare thing for these to go up for sale, and I kinda gave up after 2-3 weeks with no response. Well, he finally called me back and we made a deal!

The way I figure it is that an investment with a broker is just a number on a piece of paper. The purchase of a hangar is real estate that will (and does) appreciate, but I get to use this investment!!

I’ll be moving in within a few weeks!
