Orest -- talk to me about Avidyne's IFD550 and Digital Radar

Is this on-board radar? What do you know of it?

My replacement KLN-90B is on the fritz again and I'm not likely to trust taking it into hard IFR (sigh) so I'm salivating over the IFD stuff that I simply cannot afford.
