My older 235 has a Garmin GPS 155XL installed. Non-WAAS, not color, but enroute and approach certified, and allows you to fly/file /G.
As I gear up for instrument, this thing has developed creeping dead pixels in the upper left corner. I was more than willing to send it in for a Garmin flat-rate repair...but they no longer have these displays in stock.

Does anyone have a fix for these (I tried to access the LCD to rub the pixels out, but it’s difficult to get to), or a reasonably priced replacement with a good display? Yes, I know a 430W cures all...but is also a $9k exercise, installed.
