I've had my PA-28-235 for about a year. Believed that I did not have a heated pitot tube. Removed the battery to keep it on a maintainer while my plane sat broken.
Just reinstalled the battery and after verifying the connections were correct and torqued appropriately, I checked all the lights, radio, etc. to make sure no issues before my annual inspection tomorrow.
After shutting it down, i noticed my pitot cover laying on the ground. Went to put it back and my pitot tube was hot to the touch.
So, here's the dumb newish owner question. Where does the pitot tube typically get powered from if no specific switch? I dont recall noticing any entry about installing an after the fact unit on my 1964 235......
