Greetings all--- I have installed a 6 cyl engine monitor on my 235, and can now see what CHT and EGTs are. In all the documentation I have read over, the only temp value I see mentioned is in the Lycoming O-540 book is 430 degrees for cylinder head temps. I am pleased to report having seen nothing above 380 or so. The EGT temps are fairly close to each other, but I wonder what some of you think typical readings should look like for them. Comments please. '73 235.
