Out of curiosity, does anyone know how hard it is to swap from a NSD360A Slaved HSI to a NSD1000? It looks as if they are fairly identical with the exception of the NSD1000 being electrically driven vs. vacuum (of the NSD360A). I have a NSD360A, but wondered if it would be worth exploring a NSD1000 instead of overhauling the NSD360A. And yes, I could go with a G5, but this is really more of an intellectual exercise...just trying to determine what it would take.
