I just purchased a Piper Pathfinder that has a full compliment of speed mods. The previous owner had inflated those strut pretty high but the speed faring that is affixed to the top of the stock fairing still bangs against the structure periodically during taxi. I can see where the fairing is contacting the structure and I could surely start whacking off pieces of fiberglass to deal with this but I don't want to.

has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you rectify it?

They look exactly like these but may be an older model?
