Hello, I'm looking for a CFI with a Cherokee 6, or access to one, in the Northern CA/ Southern OR region, that would be willing to do a checkout/endorsement for my CFI who is trying to help me in buying a Cherokee 6. I have insurance quotes requiring 10 hrs in make/model or "must have satisfactorily completed a checkout from a Certified Flight Instructor in this make and model aircraft". My CFI has a PA-28, and lots of time in it, plus a variety of other aircraft, single/multi/ retract etc. with 8,000+ total hours, just no PA-32 time.
I'm talking to several sellers currently but I need to overcome this insurance hurdle to move forward. I'm a 2000 hr helicopter pilot working towards my fixed-wing add on, hoping to train with him in my own Cherokee 6.
