Does anyone know how high the center radio stack opening in the panel is in newer PA-28s, without the "hump"?

I'm trying to see if I can wedge 8.8" of avionics in that space. I've seen photos of an Arrow with a KMA-20, a GNS-530, and a MK-12D in there, which I calculate as being about 8.7" high, but I don't know what size shoehorn they may have used.
