You may have to relean mixture when changing altitude. I typically lean out in cruise at 7.5 GPH


If you want to make your engine run consistently smooth you may want to consider some fine wire spark plugs. Unfortunately they are not cheap, but they are supposed to last a lot longer. I have put 700 hours on my Archer with 100 plus hours on the fine wires so far. I wish I had installed fine wire a long time ago. No more lead fouling. New/cleaned massives ran great until the lead loaded up on them (I always lean at lower power levels). I fly 100+ hours per years and don't want to be cleaning plugs until annual.
