I’m considering buying a new Icom portable transceiver (comm only). I See that they now transmit and receive with 6 watts of power. The older models and most other brands only have 5 watts. Do any of you have the newer model (and own the older 5 watt model) and noticed much of a difference between the 5 and 6 watts of power?
