We had our entire interior done in Airtex and our front seats did not have any plastic or aluminum trim on the rears of the seats.  The originals were velour (avocado green-so 70s) with the entire seat covered in the fabric with the pocket on the rear and headrests. The Airtex replacements were the same way (except we did leather seats).  The front seats in your plane look like they came out of an older Cherokee, which doesn't make necessarily bad but they may not have the fittings in place to put in head rests.
