Hi all, I’ve purchased and have ready to ferry a 1979 PA-28-236. It has sat in a hangar since 2020, but when we went through it the engine appears plenty healthy. Planning to add a primary engine analyzer at annual to keep an eye on things. Did have a dead alternator and a gummed up oil pressure line, but those have been addressed. Now waiting for the FAA to process my registration so I can get a ferry permit. Trying to line up someone with Dakota time (insurance requirement) to ferry from Indy-area to Louisville has been a bigger challenge than anticipated, but I just got the mechanical items buttoned up last night and now the weather looks awful for the foreseeable future. Thanks to those who have already given valuable input here.
