I thought my electrical issue was behind me; I had a fuel pump that would intermittently not come on. Strangely, if I turned on the master switch ALT first then BATT, the problem was at bay. Maybe it was just a coincidence?
Anyway, last Sunday I went out to fly and the problem is back ... no fuel pump. In doing my pre-flight, I noticed I had no landing light. Figured I had two separate issues.
I decided I would still taxi over and top off the tanks. Checked and still no fuel pump. Damn !!!
Taxied back over to tie down ... scrapped the day. Was not happy. But, I checked again and BOTH the fuel pump and landing light were working!!
My mechanic is swamped this week and he said he'd look at the schematic to see what makes sense.
I'm asking the experts here what your take is on this?
Need new master switch?
Bad connection?
My mechanic is good, but I question his ability to troubleshoot an electrical issue like this. Maybe I am missing something here, but this airplane doesn't have the most complicated electrical system ... pretty basic, correct?
Thanks in advance for your help.
