I found a small crack in the upper engine mount rubber disk, and so it's time to replace it... There is a "different" overall vibration also... so here is my problem in looking at all the part numbers and possibilities.. I have no idea how to find the correct part number for a new mount.
I have a 1967 Cherokee 140, with an O-360 installed... so I really do not know what actual engine mounts are in there, same as the old O-320 mounts?, or mounts designed for a Cherokee 180 with the O-360 engine?. The paperwork when the engine was changed is minimal, Form 337, states " all parts changed to convert to a 180 except for battery relocation."
I have not tried to look at the mount close enough to see if there is a part number molded into the rubber, that would help, but starting to look at parts lists and parts manuals and becoming confused as to what to look for.... with the O-360 in it, I don't think going with the 140 parts manual would be right, but then maybe it is as I do not think the engine truss was changed... how to tell??..
What are some things I can look at or measure to help determine the correct mount to order... and then again I may go ahead and change them all out as the engine was installed in 1971, and nothing in the logbooks states that new mounts were installed when the engine was rebuilt in the 1980's..
